A Small, Easy Way to Cut Energy Costs When Cooking Pasta
When every penny counts, try cooking pasta with less energy to save money on your electricity or gas bill.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil.
- Immediately add your noodles, and cover the pot.
- Once the water begins to boil again, turn the burner off.
- Leave the pot covered for about 20 minutes, stirring once or twice to keep the noodles from sticking.
Bonus: This trick also works for boiled eggs.
