How to Salvage Hardened Brown Sugar

Cooking from scratch is a sure-fire method of controlling food costs, and when the weather is cold, baking warms the kitchen too! Eliminate the emergency trip to the grocery store (and the impulse-buying opportunities it entails) by rescuing your hardened brown sugar supply!

1. Preheat the oven to 300 F degrees
2. Remove the brick of brown sugar from its packaging
3. Wrap the brick in aluminum foil
4. Once the oven is heated, place the foil package of brown sugar in the oven
5. Bake for 5 minutes
