What if there was a way to, essentially, do nothing and get rewarded for it?
Believe it or not, there is.
I know what you’re thinking. And no, I’m not about to rail against the U.S. government for its wasteful spending on the least productive members of society.
What I want to share with you is an app that allows you to do exactly what the title of this blog post suggests. It’s called Viggle.
As mentioned in The Biggest Hurdle to Living Debt Free, Americans watch about five hours of television per day. We might as well receive some monetary benefit for all the time we’re wasting.
Here are the steps you need to take in order to start getting paid:
- Download the Viggle app onto your iPhone, iTouch or iPad. (Sorry, Android users.)
- Sign up for an account.
- Watch television (preferably with cable TV service).
- Check in.
- Rack up reward points.
- Redeem points for gift cards, movie tickets, music and more.
Why this App is Super Sweet:
Once you register, all you have to do is tap two buttons on your iDevice to accumulate points: 1) The Viggle app icon 2) The “Check-in” button.
It doesn’t get much harder than that.
Why this App Super Sucks
Because I can’t use it. Since the good folks at Viggle are only interested in the regularly scheduled programming you watch, those of us who get our TV fix through the internet, i.e., on demand, can’t participate in all the fun.
So, there you have it – a totally legal, non-onerous way to get paid while sitting on your butt.
Do you know of any other ways we can get compensated in exchange for a few seconds of our time?
