Just airing a beef

I witnessed something truly egregious today. As you can see from the photo, I have a neighbor who failed to break down their moving boxes and recycle them. Ideally, they would’ve let the greater Washington, D.C. area know they had boxes to give away on Craigslist or Freecycle. This particular neighbor might not know there’s a super easy way to make sure their boxes are reused before heading to the landfill. For that, I’ll let them slide.

HOWEVER, there’s no way the recycle bins adjacent to the dumpster escaped my neighbor’s attention. The dumpster is full of cardboard boxes, so even if my neighbor somehow overlooked the recycle bins on their first trip, they sure as heck didn’t miss them during their second, third, and fourth trip.

Is this person lazy, or do they just not care? Either way, tossing cardboard boxes in the dumpster is unacceptable. I did a little investigating and found out who the culprit is. I’ve expressed my dissatisfaction with their apathy by engraving one word on their vehicle.

Bitch

Just kidding. I saw this on some poor soul’s car a couple weeks ago and did what’s only natural: I took a picture of it. But, I suspect whoever keyed that word on the victim’s car felt justified in that the victim didn’t recycle their moving boxes.
