Seems Like a Good Time to Catch Up

by Shawanda Greene

Can you believe me? I haven’t posted anything in so long even spammers don’t comment on my blog anymore.

It’s been almost a month since you last heard from me. The longer You Have More Than You Think lay dormant, the more embarrassed I felt to show my face again. It kinda feels like when you haven’t been to church in a long time.

Well, here I am – the prodigal blogger. I don’t have any groundbreaking personal finance news to share right this second. I just got back from the gym, and I need to eat something. But I do have some pretty good ideas in the pipeline.

In case you were wondering, life is good. I’ve been really busy at work and really busy trying to lose 15 pounds. I’m just exhausted after I get home from working and working out. I’m not motivated to do much more than watch past episodes of Monk.

And to make matters worse, I can’t have a glass of wine without sabotaging my weight loss gains. That really pisses me off. I thought I saw one of the women of Basketball Wives blowing smoke out of her nose that she’d inhaled from a glass. I wonder if that was alcohol. Can you smoke alcohol? If you can, let me know. I’m desperate. (I’m just kidding…sorta.)

When I went through the blogs I read, I was all excited to see a post from you. I saved it for last. Glad to have you back. I am looking forward to reading your upcoming posts.

WHOA!

Shawanda, it’s been too long since I’ve been here – I really like the site redesign.

It looks great! I’m pretty pumped for you. Will have to tool around more later.

From random research (don’t ask), I’ve also heard that wine can hinder weight loss, but only if there’s an underlying medical issue… don’t quote me though.

I laugh every time I see your, 'yes, stealing does save money' comment on hip2save. Funny!

A message that spells out exactly what is inside your heart. Gay love t-shirts show your commitment whenever you are side-by-side, and couple t-shirts expressing your love are a sweet reminder whenever you are apart, too. Perhaps you don’t want to wear your heart on your sleeve. Couple pillowcases for lesbians and gay partners show your dream partner your feelings while romantic, whimsical designs invite a Valentine’s Day cuddle.
