Great question. We try to assess and balance this all the time. It isn't always easy. One thing we have done that works well is meal planning. We save a ton of time on a daily basis that would normally be spent on figuring out what to eat and then seeing if we have the stuff to cook it, and we save a ton of money because we never feel the need to eat out since we have a recipe and ingredients ready to go. It works really well.

You’re right, meal planning is a great one. I’d only ever thought about it from a money saving perspective, never as a way to save time.
